Special thanks to Golden Care for holding my family’s hand (sometimes literally) through an incredibly difficult period in taking care of my mother. Everyone from Porsha (owner), Linda (Director) and home aides were all invaluable in their care, compassion, and attentiveness to not only my mom, but my entire family. My mother suffered a massive stroke and needed around the clock care. In less than a day’s time, they had care set up, 24/7 for the next week. They continued to check in, and walk us through some of the more difficult moments, and recommended and coordinated directly with a wonderful hospice company, when the time for that came. Thank you Golden Care for your incredible service and passion for the job.

When Keith suffered the loss of mobility from a traumatic head injury, the physical therapist at his rehabilitation facility could only work with him 3 times a week. Worried about his slow recovery and the pain he was suffering, Keith’s family contacted Golden Care. Our Care Manager connected our team of caregivers with the facility and provided Keith with 24-Hour supervision and care. Through daily physical therapy and around-the-clock support, Keith was able to return to full mobility"

Brian’s family knew things were getting serious when he could no longer make it up the stairs to go to bed. They approached him with assisted living facilities but he refused to leave his home. They decided to explore other options, and that’s when they came across Golden Care. Working with our caregivers allowed Brian to avoid assisted living while still getting the care he needs. We started a daily walking regimen with him and prepared nutritious meals that catered to his tastes. It was tiring at first, but now Brian walks his block daily and has no problem climbing the stairs to go to bed.

Near the end of her life, Sophie could no longer walk and was dependent on her caregiver Martha to provide the intimate care that her body no longer had the strength for. Martha sat by Sophie’s bedside day and night. Sophie told her intimate stories about her life and they listened to her favorite music together. When it was time for Sophie to go, Martha held her hand and comforted her until the very end.

You couldn’t ask for more caring and loving people at Golden Care. My mom was 91 and we were determined to keep her at home until it was no longer viable. With the help of Amber and the other caregivers, we were able to do so. I have worked with a few other agencies and due to their lack of response in a timely manner or just not a good fit with caregivers, I was so glad to have found Golden Care. Linda is the BEST at communication. She herself has dealt with aging parents and is so compassionate and helpful. You know your parent is in the best hands with this team.
