Owner / President
As the owner of Golden Care, Porsha enables seniors in Carlsbad and San Diego County area to live safe, happy lives in their own homes for as long as they can. Her mission, and the mission of … Golden Care, includes assisting family members with elder care for their loved ones while maintaining their own professional and personal lives; creating a family-oriented environment, staffed by professional caregivers that go the extra mile to serve seniors; and increasing respect and concern for seniors in our society. Porsha has a degree in Business Management from the University of Colorado and brings her background in finance and entrepreneurialism to the service of seniors and their loved ones through Golden Care.
Cindy began working in the healthcare industry as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a skilled nursing facility, caring for the elderly and disabled. This led her to seek out her passion for helping others by assuming a position in the in-home care operations. For the past 8 years, Cindy has gained administrative experience in Office Administration and Management as well as Human Resources protocols. Her responsibilities have included the development and implementation of policies and procedures and the management and execution of those practices. Cindy is excited to bring her knowledge and experience to the Golden Care team in their effort to succeed and grow.
Holly joined Golden Care with 25+ years’ in the field office management, legal assistance, and medical administration. Holly was introduced to Golden Care back in 2015 when she sought respite care for her own Grandmother, who she herself provided care for daily. Soon after, she became employed with Golden Care, as one of our On-Call Schedulers. She now oversees our Client and Caregiver’s schedules as our Staffing Manager. She takes much pride in serving the senior community of San Diego County, by assisting families with staffing the most appropriate caregiver for each client.
Tracey joined the Golden Care team in 2021 as our Staffing Manager. Tracey has worked in home care since 2016. Prior to home care, Tracey worked as an EMT, an ER tech, and CNA, as well as in the pharmaceutical industry. Tracey is originally from Chicago (Go Cubs!) and has lived with her family in San Diego for ten years.
Client Care Manager
Megan came to Golden Care in 2018 with over 13 years of experience working with seniors. While working at Vi at La Jolla Village, CCRC, for nine years, she gained valuable insight into the various aspects of aging, including Dementia and Alzheimer's. Her background in Psychology, being a Crisis Intervention Specialist and Certified Mediation paved the way to working with seniors. Megan has also been a real estate developer and home builder. Being a Client Care Manager on the Golden Care team provides Megan the opportunity to continue to fulfill the lifelong desire to help others. A successful day for Megan is helping clients and family members find the relief they need knowing that Golden Care will be there for them – and listening to so many wonderful life stories.
Golden Care’s Consultant Liaison
Linda comes to Golden Care with a background in education as well as a successful career in managing multiple physical therapy clinics for a national healthcare organization. Perhaps most important, however, are the twelve years she spent in assisting in the rehabilitation process of her own mother, who suffered from a massive stroke. It is that background that drives Linda’s passion for senior care and allows her to do her job with the utmost compassion and understanding. It also allows her to help family members deal with the physical and emotional exhaustion that comes with constant caregiving, and to walk them through any decision that needs to be made regarding the care of their loved ones.
Client Care Manager
Darlene joined the Golden Care team in 2021, after working for nine years with the Foundation for Senior Care as a Senior Care Advocate, Door through Door Coordinator, and Advocate Lead, overseeing the Advocacy program. Darlene implemented a comprehensive care plan tailored for each client afflicted with mobility, physical, dementia, or cognitive impairments. Darlene previously worked as a behavioral counselor, implementing behavior modification programs for individuals 18 years and younger. She earned a BA in Psychology from CSULA and obtained her Vocational Teaching credentials in General Office and Small Business management. Darlene also has an active Real Estate license. Darlene has the honor of holding a certificate of recognition by Senator Joel Anderson’s office, and was appointed by both Bill Horn and Jim Desmond to the County of San Diego Advisory Council for Aging and Independence Services.
Business Development Liaison
Holly Pobst joined the Golden Care team in 2021 as our Business Development Liaison, cultivating strategic partnerships to ensure an effortless continuum of care for our clients, promoting the Golden Care mission, and providing direct oversight to our online media presence, and overall business development efforts. She brings a wealth of experience to the Golden Care team with her degree in Gerontology from Central Washington University and working exclusively in the senior care field, having assisted elderly persons and their families since 1990. Outside the office, Holly is an animal-loving vegan, Seattle Seahawks fan, Hot tamale fanatic, who loves travel, reading, the beach, and spending time with her family. Holly is delighted to utilize her expertise to further the mission of Golden Care throughout San Diego county and beyond.
On-Call Staffing Coordinator
While everyone else is sleeping or is off on the weekend, she is responding to our client’s and caregivers’ off-hours scheduling needs, allowing us to say – “we are available 24/7!” Alexandria has spent the last 7 years working in the healthcare field, including 2 years in-home health and hospice and the past 6 years in Homecare. She is detail-oriented and works proficiently to staff the most arduous client cases. Alexandria is a native of San Diego and enjoys spending time with her family and participating in community events.
On-Call Staffing Coordinator
Rosa was introduced to home care back in 2015. She began working as a caregiver and providing the best care to her clients. In 2017 she became a Staffing Coordinator where she enjoyed helping her clients find the best caregiver that fit their needs. She loves helping her clients in any way she can. Whether providing personal care or finding the appropriate caregiver. On her personal time, she loves spending time with her family.
Luke came to Golden care in February with a background in operations management. He is currently assisting with full life cycle recruiting, including proactive candidate searches, and interviewing. He finds that helping people find jobs is extremely fulfilling! Luke is excited to be a part of Golden Care and is looking forward to growing the caregiving team that will be taking care of families all over San Diego County. In his spare time, he enjoys running on the beach, playing golf, and Bikram yoga.
