Owner/President Golden Care
As the owner of Golden Care, Porsha enables seniors in Carlsbad and San Diego County area to live safe, happy lives in their own homes for as long as they can. Her mission, and the mission of ... Golden Care, includes assisting family members with elder care for their loved ones while maintaining their own professional and personal lives; creating a family-oriented environment, staffed by professional caregivers that go the extra mile to serve seniors; and increasing respect and concern for seniors in our society. Porsha has a degree in Business Management from the University of Colorado and brings her background in finance and entrepreneurialism to the service of seniors and their loved ones through Golden Care.
Office Manager Golden Care
Cindy holds the position of Office Manager for Golden Care.
She began working in the healthcare industry as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a skilled nursing facility, caring for the elderly and disabled. This led her to seek out her passion for helping others by assuming a position in-home care operations.
For the past 8 years, Cindy has gained administrative experience in Office Administration and Management as well as Human Resources protocols. Her responsibilities have included the development and implementation of policies and procedures and the management and execution of those practices. Cindy is excited to bring her knowledge and experience to the Golden Care team in their effort to succeed and grow.
Staffing Manager Golden Care
Holly joined Golden Care with 25+ years’ experience. She has a previous background in office management, legal assistance, and medical administration. Holly was introduced to Golden Care back in 2015 when she sought respite care for her own Grandmother, who she herself provided care for daily.
Soon after, she became employed with Golden Care, as one of our On-Call schedulers. She now oversees our Client and Caregiver’s schedules as our Staffing Manager.
She takes much pride in serving the senior community of San Diego County, by assisting families with staffing the most appropriate caregiver for each client.
Recruiting Coordinator Golden Care
Rachel began her career in the hospitality industry working for Park Hyatt Aviara for 9 years. It was there that she had the opportunity to meet guests from all over the world with varying backgrounds. Her work associates shared different life experiences and cultural backgrounds along with varying talents and personalities. She later progressed into a position with CVS pharmacy where she worked side by side with the pharmacist, interacting with new pharmacy techs as they transitioned into their new career. Through this experience, she realized her desire to pursue her education in Liberal Arts with an emphasis in social and behavioral sciences. Rachel enjoys leading others into a new path and uses her sound judgment to recruit the best caregivers for Golden Care, in her present role as Recruiting Coordinator.
Director of Client Services Golden Care
Linda comes to Golden Care with a background in education as well as a successful career in managing multiple physical therapy clinics for a national healthcare organization.
Perhaps most important, however, are the twelve years she spent in assisting in the rehabilitation process of her own mother, who suffered from a massive stroke.
It is that background that drives Linda's passion for senior care and allows her to do her job with the utmost compassion and understanding. It also allows her to help family members deal with the physical and emotional exhaustion that comes with constant care giving, and to walk them through any decision that needs to be made regarding the care of their loved one.
Client Care Coordinator Golden Care
Megan worked as Sales Counselor at Vi at La Jolla Village continuing care retirement community for 9 years. Prior to that, she held positions in home sales management, including both resale and new home sales, as well as a partner in Land Development and new home tract construction.
Her years of sales, business development, and management experience have proven to her the value of understanding what you have to offer that will enhance your client’s life.
In her present position as Client Care Coordinator, Megan displays a vast appreciation for working with seniors to help them to continue to experience the best lifestyle possible. She is also a certified Mediator and Crisis Intervention Counselor.

Marketing Director Golden Care
Carol was born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in the small town of Bowling Green, Ohio. She attended Bowling Green State University where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Social Work. Following graduation, she ventured to the West Coast to pursue a career in health services. Carol now has over 25 years of healthcare management experience in PPO, HMO and Senior Services. Her career path has included leadership roles in marketing, operations, business development, client services and account management.
Carol’s passion for working with the elderly evolved from personal experience. She spent a year caring for her aging mother following a critical illness that nearly took her life at the age of 87. For the next 9 years, until her passing at the age of 96, Carol supported her mother through a long and devastating journey with Alzheimer’s disease. This experience allowed her to recognize and act on her true calling. In 2011, Carol began her work in senior homecare, assisting families in navigating the stressful and often unknown path of seeking the appropriate level of care for their loved ones. She now holds the position of Marketing Director for Golden Care, an elite Concierge Care Company.
Carol is currently a member of the San Diego Senior Advisory Council, San Diego Regional Home Care Council, South Bay Senior Providers Group and co-chair for the East County Senior Services Provider Group. Carol has served on the Board of the San Diego County Council on Aging and currently serves on the Board of the San Diego Military Outreach Ministries and the San Diego Chapter of NPRA, National Professional Referral Alliance.
On-call Scheduling Coordinator Golden Care
Alexandria holds the position of On-call Staffing Coordinator for Golden Care. While everyone else is sleeping or is off on the weekend, she is responding to our clients and caregivers' off-hours scheduling needs, allowing us to say – “we are available 24/7!” Alexandria has spent the last 7 years working in the healthcare field, to include 1 ½ years in home health and hospice and the past 5 ½ years in Homecare. She is detail-oriented and works proficiently to staff the most arduous client cases. Alexandria is a native of San Diego and enjoys spending time with her family and participating in community events.
Scheduling Coordinator Golden Care
Karla is a Staffing Coordinator for Golden Care. In both her personal and professional life, she recognizes the importance and value of helping others. She understands that family and others in need come first, before herself. At Golden Care, she must listen intently to the client’s expectations and identify the most qualified caregiver to fulfill their needs. Following through in her desire to help others, Karla has volunteered and worked in skilled nursing facilities, outpatient surgery centers, and hospitals and is currently working toward her degree in nursing.
