Porsha Vogt
Owner / President
As the owner of Golden Care, Porsha enables seniors in Carlsbad and San Diego County area to live safe, happy lives in their own homes for as long as they can. Her mission, and the mission of … Golden Care, includes assisting family members with elder care for their loved ones while maintaining their own professional and personal lives; creating a family-oriented environment, staffed by professional caregivers that go the extra mile to serve seniors; and increasing respect and concern for seniors in our society. Porsha has a degree in Business Management from the University of Colorado and brings her background in finance and entrepreneurialism to the service of seniors and their loved ones through Golden Care.
Cindy Ricardez
Office Manager
Cindy began working in the healthcare industry as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a skilled nursing facility, caring for the elderly and disabled. This led her to seek out her passion for helping others by assuming a position in the in-home care operations. For the past 8 years, Cindy has gained administrative experience in Office Administration and Management as well as Human Resources protocols. Her responsibilities have included the development and implementation of policies and procedures and the management and execution of those practices. Cindy is excited to bring her knowledge and experience to the Golden Care team in their effort to succeed and grow.
Holly Waddell
Staffing Manager
Holly joined Golden Care with 25+ years’ in the field office management, legal assistance, and medical administration. Holly was introduced to Golden Care back in 2015 when she sought respite care for her own Grandmother, who she herself provided care for daily. Soon after, she became employed with Golden Care, as one of our On-Call Schedulers. She now oversees our Client and Caregiver’s schedules as our Staffing Manager. She takes much pride in serving the senior community of San Diego County, by assisting families with staffing the most appropriate caregiver for each client.
Megan Gallan

Client Care Manager

How long in the industry:
I was a Sales Counselor at Vi at La Jolla Village continuing care retirement community
for 9 years. Prior to that I was in home sales management in both resale and new home, as well as a partner in a Land Development and new home tract construction company for several years.

Area of expertise:
My years of sales and management and business development experience have proven
to me the value of understanding what you have to offer that will enhance your client’s life.

Experience relative to position:
My experience at Vi has given me a vast appreciation of working with seniors in order to
help them to continue to experience the best lifestyle possible. I am also a certified Mediator, as well as a Crisis Intervention counselor.

Work/Life philosophy:
Always do your best and “walk in another person’s shoes”.

Why I enjoy the job:
The opportunity to be of service to others brings me the most happiness.

Favorite part about working with seniors:
Their stories – especially how they met their partner.

Fun fact:
I love the thrill of skydiving

Linda Urbina
Director of Client Services
Linda comes to Golden Care with a background in education as well as a successful career in managing multiple physical therapy clinics for a national healthcare organization. Perhaps most important, however, are the twelve years she spent in assisting in the rehabilitation process of her own mother, who suffered from a massive stroke. It is that background that drives Linda’s passion for senior care and allows her to do her job with the utmost compassion and understanding. It also allows her to help family members deal with the physical and emotional exhaustion that comes with constant caregiving, and to walk them through any decision that needs to be made regarding the care of their loved ones.
Alexandria Hart
On-Call Staffing Coordinator
While everyone else is sleeping or is off on the weekend, she is responding to our client’s and caregivers’ off-hours scheduling needs, allowing us to say – “we are available 24/7!” Alexandria has spent the last 7 years working in the healthcare field, including 2 years in-home health and hospice and the past 6 years in Homecare. She is detail-oriented and works proficiently to staff the most arduous client cases. Alexandria is a native of San Diego and enjoys spending time with her family and participating in community events.
Karla Garcia
Staffing Coordinator
In both her personal and professional life, Karla recognizes the importance and value of helping others. She understands that family and others in need come first, before herself. At Golden Care, she must listen intently to the client’s expectations and identify the most qualified caregiver to fulfill their needs. Following through in her desire to help others, Karla has volunteered and worked in skilled nursing facilities, outpatient surgery centers, and hospitals and is currently working toward her degree in nursing.
