Golden Care’s own Michelle Guire and Caroline Kerr, RN, recently sat down with KUSI host Roy Robertson for a Senior Style conversation about what families should know when considering care for themselves or someone they love.

One of the most important topics they discussed was what makes the Golden Care approach different: an extra layer of personalized support through a dedicated Care Manager.
More Than Matching a Client With a Caregiver
Great care starts with understanding the person receiving it.
Every Golden Care client has a Care Manager who takes the time to get to know the individual, or couple, their routines, preferences, needs, concerns, and what is most important to them. That understanding helps Golden Care tailor the care plan to the specific client rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.
Caregivers provide the hands-on support and the scheduling team coordinates coverage, but the Care Manager provides something equally important: continuity.
The Care Manager becomes a familiar point person for the client and family. When there is a question, a change in needs, or something that simply needs to be discussed, families have someone they can turn to who already knows their situation.
It means less starting from scratch and more consistent communication between the client, family, caregivers, and Golden Care team.
Care Wherever You Call Home
Michelle and Caroline also discussed an important misconception about home care: home doesn’t have to mean a private house.
Golden Care can provide personalized care wherever a client calls home, including a private residence, assisted living community, memory care community, or other senior living setting.
Even when someone lives in a community with support available, additional one-on-one care can offer companionship, assistance with daily routines, personalized attention, and a familiar presence focused specifically on that individual.
At Golden Care, the goal isn’t simply to send a caregiver. It’s to create a coordinated circle of support around each client, with a Care Manager helping keep the people, communication, and care connected.
Because when care is personal, knowing who to call matters.
